St. George

We spent a week in St. George at a wonderful park to get more experience with the RV, it was a really good time and we were both very much surprised by how much St. George has to offer. We have passed through it so many times and heard so many good things about the area but we never found time to stop and enjoy it. So it was really nice to finally be able to explore it. One of the highlights was the Tuacahn Amphitheater and open-air market. https://www.tuacahn.org/

The above picture of June and Callie was taken there – the red rocks and setting is just beautiful, we want to see a concert there when the time is right.

Lily & Blossom

Welcome to the family Lily & Blossom, this was taken the day we picked up Blossom, just north of Salt Lake City.

We bought it from a very nice couple. He and his wife spent several hours with us walking us through all of the features and lessons learned they had acquired over the years. It was invaluable as we were completely clueless. It was really a bit sad, like taking away an internal part of their family where many memories were made. They even wanted one last picture in front of it before we left. Such a great experience and the gentleman reminded me a bit of my Dad so I just soaked it all in!

That was our first night in the rolling condo and considering we both have never had an RV we didn’t do too bad.

So, this is our “Travel Rig” and will be the foundation of our domestic travel, and will double as a place to stay and mobile office while we are building Kodiak View.

Huge thank you to Matt and Ali for all there help and expertise in finding it! It was quite a whirlwind event but we made thanks to them.

Kodiak View House plans

After purchasing the land we then set out to find the perfect house and configuration to build and after much deliberation and thought June and I marked one more thing off the list and now have the plans to make our dreams a reality in Brian Head.

As for the build, we intend to use a very iterative approach to building the house. We will do some of the work ourselves mostly interior stuff and leave the bigger items to the profesionals.

We do not have a timeline as of yet but having the land and the plans in hand is a big milestone towards our vision and feel just a bit more real.
